Chudware is dimension-driven parametric CAD for engineers whose work crosses design, analysis, manufacturing, electronics, and product data. Exact solids, ordered features, assemblies, CAM, simulation, reverse engineering, and a team of AI agents all live in one environment.
Why it exists
One design decision usually touches several tools: the CAD model, a simulation setup, a CAM program, a supplier PDF, and a revision record. Chudware keeps all of that attached to one project so the geometry and the evidence for it can be reviewed together.
The modeling core uses exact boundary-representation solids. Models are dimension-driven: named relations and driving dimensions in fully defined sketches feed an ordered feature tree, and every feature stays human-editable rather than being flattened into a display mesh.
Files and delivery
The native .step+ container keeps the neutral STEP body alongside Chudware feature, parameter, material, study, drawing, and integrity data. The STEP payload can be extracted or exported for exchange even when another system cannot read Chudware's feature history.
The browser workspace and the desktop app are the same product. Signed x86-64 builds for Windows, Linux, and macOS are on the account download page.
Open-source meshing
Chudware builds a pinned revision of the BSD-3-Clause PolyMesh project into its FEA meshing path. Chudware owns study setup, resource admission, result packaging, and its engine solvers; the public PolyMesh repository independently includes its mesher, linear-elastostatics solver, validation material, CLI, and study applications.
