Product

One environment, from constrained sketch to posted G-code.

Chudware is dimension-driven parametric CAD on exact solid geometry — a fillet is a real surface, not a triangle mesh pretending to be one. Modeling, assemblies, simulation, CAM, PLM, and a team of AI agents all work on the same document and the same feature tree. Reverse engineering brings scans, photos, and datasheets into that document with the evidence still attached.

  • Exact solids, not mesh approximations
  • Dimension-driven models in native .step+ files
  • Browser workspace, or desktop app for Windows, Linux, and macOS

Capabilities

Eight workspaces. One model.

Model it, assemble it, analyze it, machine it, and track it — without leaving the project.

01 / Model

Parametric modeling

Dimension-driven models. Fully defined 2D sketches drive ordered features, and the Feature Manager keeps every step human-editable instead of collapsing it into dead geometry.

  • Named relations and driving dimensions, with degrees-of-freedom reporting
  • Extrude, Revolve, Loft, Sweep, Pattern, Fillet, Shell
  • Native .step+ keeps tree, dimensions, materials, studies, and drawings

02 / Assemble

Assemblies

Components are located by mates against a fixed base, not by typed coordinates.

  • Concentric, coincident, distance, and angle mates
  • Interference checks and clearance inspection before release
  • Stable component identity keeps mates and BOM rows connected

03 / Simulate

Simulation

Studies stay attached to the design. Every result reports its mesh, reactions, convergence, and solver provenance so you can actually review it.

  • Static, adaptive, convergence, modal, fatigue, thermal, buckling, and contact workflows
  • Per-body materials plus bonded, contact, and free interface policies
  • Mesh-quality, equilibrium, plausibility, and provenance fields beside the engineering result

04 / Mesh + solve

PolyMesh FEA

The public PolyMesh project combines CAD-aware volume meshing, a linear-elastostatics solver, recovery-based error estimation, and adaptive refinement.

  • Public C++20 source and validation evidence under BSD 3-Clause
  • Standard finite elements and polyhedral VEM in one global assembly
  • Pinned commit recorded in Chudware simulation provenance

05 / Manufacture

CAM

Jobs are built from the active part, so the manufacturing plan stays attached to the design that produced it.

  • Stock, work coordinate system, tool library, and process-ordered operations
  • Toolpath simulation with tool, holder, stock, and rapid moves visible
  • Posted G-code targeted at a specific machine and controller profile

06 / Collaborate

PLM

A project is the boundary for designs, assemblies, manufacturing artifacts, and revision history.

  • Revisions with notes instead of bracket_final_v7 filenames
  • Specifications, photos, reports, and supplier files tracked as project items
  • Handoff carries the deliverable and the decision trail together

07 / AI

AI copilot

Describe the outcome. A team of agents splits the job across the workspace, drives the same modeling tools you use by hand, and leaves behind a human-editable feature tree.

  • Inspect geometry, build and edit features, run studies, prepare CAM, measure and render
  • Bring your own AI provider account or API key
  • Anything that touches a physical machine waits for you

08 / Reverse engineer

Reverse engineering

A session keeps the source, the scale, the reconstruction, and the review together, so a scan or photo never turns into an unexplained shape.

  • Photos, video, webcam, scan meshes, datasheets, and library records as starting points
  • Human-confirmed scale and fit dimensions, with single-photo shapes tagged approximate
  • Deviation review, provenance history, Parts attachment, and full-session export

Commercial preview

Try it on the work you actually need to ship.

Modeling, assemblies, simulation, CAM, PLM, reverse engineering, and the copilot are all available today. Chudware is in commercial preview: advanced workflows are still changing, so test it on a project that looks like yours before moving production work.

Desktop builds for Windows, Linux, and macOS are on the download page. Desktop and Studio plans are on the pricing page.

Reviewable output

Every feature the agents build is in the tree with its sketch fully defined. Study evidence, CAM setup, and revisions stay visible too. You inspect what was produced; you never have to trust a summary sentence.
